We're dwiving our Mummy mad!

Wet me tell you a stowy about our foodies. Once upon a time, a vewy wong time ago, before the existence of That Thing, the world was oh so beautiful and I was the onwy kitty and king of all I survey.

At that time all the stinky goodness and fishy goodness that appeared in mine house was for me, and me awone. I had cwunchy goodness that was speciawwy meant f
or me, a dignified MATURE gentleMANcat.

Wook at that word circled in wed. Isn't it just meant for me?
Mature. Dignified. Genius.

And then That Thing appeared in mine house. And That Thing wasn't considewate enough to know that when you intwude into someone's house and impose youself on someone, even a gentleMANcat wike me, you shouldn't twouble others and ask for oh all sorts of things.

But well, he did. And he HAD to eat baby kitty food. So mine Mummy boughted baby kitty cwunchy goodness for him.
Ok fine.

The thing is, That Thing discovered mine dignified mature gentleMANcat cwunchy goodness and pwefered that over his own baby kitty cwunchy goodness. Ok, I've to admit, I discovered his baby kitty cwunchy goodness too, a
nd I...well I...pwefer that to mine own dignified mature gentleMANcat cwunchy goodness.

So when mine Mummy feeds us, she'll put the pwate with the MATURE food in fwont of me, and the pwate with the baby kitty food in fwont of That Thing.
Then when she turns her back awound, we would immediatewy swap pwaces and start gobbwing away.
So mine Mummy has to sit there and hold on to us, to our wespective pwates so we don't eat each other's foodies.

And vewy soon, mine Mummy thought she's had enough of having to supervise our evewy single meal.
So she wented shopping and decided, if the baby wikes mature food and the dignified, mature genius kitty wikes baby food, she shall just buy normal ADULT kitty food. That will work out fair for both of us wouldn't it?

So she went and boughted this.
The thing is, I weawwy don't know what possessed her but she went to buy the hugest packet awound, which was wike a squiwwion eats for us, before she even knows if we wike that or not!

And of course,
WE DO NOT WIKE THAT.
Never mind it says there on the wabel, "Pweferred by 80% of kitties" or whatever nonsense. It is NOT yummy at all.
Me and That Thing wefused to have even one single bit of that foodie!
We call it the cwunchy badness.

So mine Mummy is now weft with no cwunchy goodness for us and a HUGE packet of cwunchy badness.
Either she's going to have to keep her hooves cwossed that mine fwiend Mimi wikes to eat that, or she'll have to finish the entire packet on her own. Heheheh....

And now mine Mummy doesn't know what foodie to buy for us!

Oh no! Crunchy Badness has invaded your house! This happens to me a lot because I is a picky eater. I munch down half a bag of food and then decide I am ready for a change and refuse to eat for a day until Mommie brings something new home! I is only 7 months old and this cycle has repeated 4 times already! MOL.

I fink it is maybe important for Beet to eat kitten food because he is still a baby. He needs special ingredients to grow big and strong! But what your Mommie can do is get Nature's Balance which is specially made for kittens AND adults. It tastes really good... it was the food I liked the longest! It is one of the best premium foods out there. My Mommie gotted it at the pet store.

Ah the food hunt for a mature cat AND a kitten. What a challenge. We love our Solid Gold!

Food, food, everywhere and not a bite to eat!

That is a dilemma. We hope your mom finds an answer that will make you both happy - and her too.

Meanwhile, maybe you can throw a party and invite all your mom's friends over to help her eat it, since neither of you will.

Your in good company, many kitties consider Science Diet as crunchy badness. Perhaps your beans can donate the food to a shelter and get you something different?

Oh ... yuck. The Feline Americans and I HATE Science Diet. It has "diet" in the name so it has to be horrible. We don't wanna even try it. The food that you USED to get was one of our favorites ... If you can get some called AVODERM, tell your momma to try it. We LOVE Avoderm a whole bunch. An' we like NutroMax Cat. Royal Canin is one of our favorites ...

I hope you can find a food you both will eat Boy. It is no good to go hungry! My Mom always buys the smallest size available of anything new she wants us to try but sometimes the large size is the only one available. I am sure your Mummy will think of something.

We had that problem too with Zoe and Smudge. Food for "all life stages" works good because the kitten is still too young for adult food. Especially indoor formulas, usually not enough protein.

Science Diet? Our great-great grandmomma used to have that, but now it's very rare found in pet stores, coz it's way too expensive since the economic crisis has rising....so now we have mydearcat or whiskas:)

Meaouwy Troops are so glad now coz mommy coming back to home & dun forget to check out what are the nasty stuff inside our brain & compare it with humans' brain, sneak peek at Felinesophy

We ate that Science Diet food for a bag or two, then decided we didn't like it any more too. Mom is still putting it out in a dish for the outdoor kitty that comes now & then.
People don't eat the same thing every day, so why should we?

Hi Boy! I just found out that DMM thinks your blog is the greatest. I had to come see for myself! Do you know that we have five different bags of crunchy badness open? No matter what brand my mom opens, I scratch at it to pretend cover up. Even food I used to like, I turn my nose up at. I have fun confounding my mom.

ACK! I'm sorry to hear about the crunchy badness. I hope you get more crunchy goodness soon... and my purrsonal favorite: stinky goodness!

I hope you can sort out your crunchy food problems :)
There has to be something you both like, though baby food for Beethoven is important ;)
Good luck.

Boy, Momma tried to feed Sam and me the Science Diet stuff ... we hated it! Now all she buys for us is our Nutro foods. When Simon first came to live with us he ate the Nutro kitten food, but now that he is a grown up cat we all eat the Natural Choice Indoor Adult food, in oceanfish flavor and we all love it.

I guess putting "Preferred by 80% of Cats" on the bag sells the food better than saying, "Makes 20% of Cats blow chunks!"

:)

PB 'n J said...

Hee hee - we've done that too! Our Mommy mixed our food in with the kitten food for a while and we ate it - then she slowly took the kitten food away. Maybe that will work, cause I don't think beans like kitty crunchies!

Your Mummy should try donating the food to a shelter or rescue group if you guys aren't going to eat it.

Oh, no. Stinky Badness? No good foodies?!!

We only eat Meow Mix Seafood Medley. If Mom brings home anything else, we just stare at the plate. Not. Eating. Anything. Else.

Mom was very worried when the food scare happened. Grayson doesn't even care for wet food all that much. He'd starve if Meow Mix ever got recalled. He won't even touch chicken. Chicken!!! I love chicken!
