Because I'm too dignified to jump up the top of the Cold Box and anyway, mine Mummy scweams whenever That Thing goes on top and I'm quite sure it means that it's something mine Mummy doesn't wike us to do.

I gotted the totawwy pawesome awardie fwom Daisymae Maus and I was one of the first 5 to get this awardie! I'm so honoured!

Ok. I stwetched out mine paw and the book neawest the compoooter is this erhu graded examinations book that mine Mummy uses for teaching her students who are pwepawing for the examinations.

For those who don't know, mine Mummy is a musician, and she pways the erhu, which is a Chinese bowed stwing instwument.

Ok, so I opened the book to page 123 and this is what you see.
I thought, since it is a book of music scores, perhaps I shall have to count the fifth phwase on page 123 instead of the fifth sentence since a musical phwase is wike a sentence anyway.
You can cwicky the pictor to biggify. I've dwawn out the first 5 phwases and the next 3 phwases after that.
In erhu scores, you get these numerical notation as well as the usual stave notation, so don't be awarmed at this page and think that it's a book on some weird mathematical arguments.Anyway, it's ok if you cannot wead these weird numbers. I can't too. I weave all these weird things for mine Mummy.

But I've gotten the music of the 3 phwases after phwase number 5 and you can wisten to how it sounds wike.
Here it is!

In case anyone is intewested, this piece is called "Kong Shan Niao Yu" or Birds Singing in a Desowate Mountain.
It was composed by this super important guy in the histowy of the devewopment of the erhu. Duwing his time, the erhu was an instwument which was wooked down upon by many people because it was usuawwy the stweet musicians or opewa musicians who pway the erhu. But this guy was educated, and he wearnt many Western instwuments and he thought, hey, Chinese instwuments can become as good as Western instwuments one day, as wong as people put in the effort to devewop them.
He started composing pieces for the erhu and until now, his erhu music are still among one of the must-wearn wepertoire among erhu pwayers.
If it were not for people wike him, Chinese music would still be stuff you can hear on the stweets, but never good enough to be bwought up on to the stage, never good enough to be performed in a concert hall.
Chinese music has an awfuwwy wong histowy, but it was onwy in the wast hundwed years or so that things have started changing and devewoping.
And mine Mummy says that it weawwy is wike a huge tweasure chest that is waiting to be unwocked, with so much potential waiting to be unwavelled.

7 Weird Things About Me (Why...I don't find them weird at all)

Well, here are some stuff about me which mine Mummy thinks are weird, but weawwy, I think they're perfectwy normal. It's mine Mummy that is weird! (Hmm...maybe I should do a post on 7 weird things about mine Mummy!)
Well anyway, here goes.

1. I talk. I talk a wot. I talk about anything under the world. If mine Mummy has the time, she can actuawwy hold a conversation with me for the entire day. I'm such a genius I never wun out of things to talk about. And when mine Mummy doesn't talk to me, I sing. Beans who see me say I'm a vocal kitty, but hey, it's because I'm a genius and I've got so much stuff to share with evewyone!
2. I DO NOT wet anyone other than mine Mummy and 1 or 2 other sewect fwiends touch me. In fact, even the V-E-T doesn't dare to touch me. Mine Mummy has to hold me for the V-E-T and even then, I hiss and woar her pwace down. If I wet you put your paw in fwont of mine face without scolding you, then you're weawwy pwiviweged because you're one of the vewy few who are awwowed to touch me.
3. In the foowishness of mine youth, I awwowed mine Mummy to twain me to fowwow a few commands - sit, stay, come, and stand. Yes...stand. Mine Mummy thought I was a show cat who can perform feats standing on mine hind paws. I stopped there though and mine Mummy has never managed to make me wearn fetch and walk on mine hind paws.
4. I wove bean food, and I do not awwow mine Mummy to eat without giving me a few bites. I'll show mine dispweasure if mine Mummy doesn't give me her food by gwumbwing the pwace down until she does. Sometimes mine Mummy eats stuff that are just not meant for kitty stomachs, so she'll have to hide a few of mine tweats and pwetend she's taken them fwom her pwate and give them to me. Of course I know that, but wet's keep mine Mummy in the dark. That way, I get to have more tweats.
5. I am musicawwy incwined. Of course, mine Mummy is a musician so I got to gwow up with music. And I know when someone pways well and when someone doesn't. If I sit in the woom while you're pwaying music, I appwove of you. If I stay away and scold you at the same time, well, go pwactice more. (That appwies to mine Mummy as well, so she's got quite a good guage of when she's good enough).
6. I'm quite towewant of whatever mine Mummy does to me. She can put all the cwothes she want on me, even a pancake, hang me upside down by the paws (ok, she doesn't do that), anything! Even if I am not vewy happy about it, I wet her. Because I wove mine Mummy. BUT...anyone else who twies to even touch me, be pwepared to have your head between mine teeth.
   
7. I am a genius. (Well, I don't consider that weird, but special. After all, how many genius kitties do you meet in your wife?)

But I think it shouldn't be called a meme because this time, it's not about me! It's about someone else. So it should be called a youyou, don't you think so?

• Mine Mummy buys BBQ pork for me and even when she's busy with her stuff, she will think of me and top up mine suppwy of BBQ pork if they wun down.
  (Though of course she never gives me enough BBQ pork - she says I'm too fat! What fat? How wude! And sometimes when she buys the BBQ pork, she'll forget to bwing it home and they'll all disappear into her cowweagues' and students' tummies.)
• Mine Mummy gets up at 530am evewy morning, no matter how tired she is, to give me mine bweakfast because she hears that there's nothing wike a good healthy bweakfast for a healthy happy kitty.
  (Of course, I've got to sing evewy morning to get her up - what, you think she'll be so considewate as to wake up on her own?)
• Mine Mummy is never too busy to pway chase-you-awound-the-house with me. We take turns, mine Mummy chases me, then I chase mine Mummy and over and over again.
• Mine Mummy buys pwesents for me, wike kitty cwack mousies, the white fuwwy-tail thingey, the huge paw, and so on.
  (Though sometimes I suspect she enjoys the toys much more than me!)
• Finawwy! The wast one.
  Mine Mummy shares her compooooter with me so that I can bwog and get to know all the wonderful kitties out there.
  (Before I started bwogging, I thought kitties were mean, nasty things wike those wude kitties outside mine house. Now I know most kitties are not wike them.)

Sorry guys, haven't been bwogging for the past few days because mine mummy was busy fiddwing with the compoooter. Now our compoooter has been fitted with a new bwain and can store much much much much more handsome pictors of me!
Mummy took such a wong time just to do all that. I never give mine advice if no one asked, but had I done it, genius me wouldn't have taken as wong as mummy!

How do you achieve balance in your life?
Bawance is a vewy dewicate thing. To bawance well, you've got to first find a nice fwat pancake. And if the Wabbit the pancake was supposed to be for wefused to coopewate, you've got no choice but to bawance the pancake on yourself. As you can see fwom mine handsome (though not so happy) pictor above, I know all about bawancing. See, the pancake was about to fall off but I held mine ears at an angle to pwevent it swiding off. Thus I achieved bawance.

What is your biggest challenge in balancing your life?
The biggest chawwange was of course, that it didn't feel too comfortable with a pancake up on mine handsome head. But of course, I had to sacwifice and bear with the discomfort for a while.


What are your priorities?
Mine pwiowities are of course, to pwevent mummy fwom eating the pancake before I managed to get it bawanced on mine head. The other pwiowity was to wook weawwy handsome while the pancake was up on mine head so I could take a pictor and show all of you.

How have your priorities changed over time and why?
Mine pwiowities have changed now that I've gotted nice handsome pictors of mineself with a pancake. Because now the new pwiowities would be
1. To get the pancake up on Wabbit's head
2. To pwevent the pancake fwom getting up on mine head again.

What advice can you share to help all of us balance our own lives?
Bawance our own wives? Oh...I wouldn't know that!
